Introduction

Hablo is a professional B2B social network that empowers organisations and their members to connect, collaborate, and share updates—much like LinkedIn, but tailored for private business ecosystems.

To increase user activity, organisational interaction, and long-term retention, the client needed:

  • A loyalty system that rewards daily and long-term contributions
  • A badge & achievements system showcasing professional progress
  • LinkedIn-style post reactions with real-time activity updates
  • A partner module allowing parent–child organisational relationships
  • A re-engagement engine that sends personalised notifications to inactive users

The Challenge

Upgrading a live B2B platform required solving multiple deep technical problems:

  • Designing a loyalty system with monthly resets, tier upgrades/downgrades, and full historical logs
  • Mapping hundreds of user actions to dynamic point rules and achievements
  • Integrating LinkedIn-style reactions within GetStream, which doesn’t support custom reaction fields
  • Enabling parent–child organisation flows without breaking permissions
  • Managing time-zone–accurate daily notifications for global users
  • Maintaining UI stability while background timers and cron logic constantly run

All of this needed to work seamlessly across web and mobile apps.

A flexible rule-based system powering Blue → Silver → Gold → Platinum progression. Monthly resets, auto-upgrades/downgrades, and complete history tracking.

New personal and organisational achievements: Millionaires Club, Community Beacon, Industry Influencer, Hot Streak, and more—each triggered by activity milestones.

LinkedIn-Style Reactions

Built custom reactions (Like, Celebrate, Love, Haha, Wow) by extending GetStream beyond native capabilities. Users can add, switch, or remove reactions with instant UI updates.

Partner Module for Multi-Org Support

Destination organisations can link child organisations; upon acceptance, child accounts automatically inherit the parent’s Suretion context.
