Designed A Government Digital Platform Helping India Fight And Monitor Vector-Borne Diseases Nationwide
We partnered with Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation to design and deliver VBDC-AMC, a mobile-first platform that digitizes disease control workflows. With role-based task tracking, notifications, and real-time reporting, it empowers public health teams to respond faster.
Introduction
Vector-borne diseases like malaria and dengue demand constant monitoring and timely intervention. Traditional paper-based workflows slowed down reporting and coordination across city zones.
VBDC-AMC was developed to:
-
Digitize daily tasks with role-based access for staff and supervisors.
-
Enable city & zone-wise monitoring of progress and cases.
-
Provide real-time tracking of field activity via location services.
-
Send urgent notifications for outbreaks and priority tasks.
- Empower admins with dashboards and reports for decision-making.
The Challenge
Transforming manual disease control workflows into an efficient digital system.
-
Role-based complexity: Different users needed distinct access and permissions.
-
Task monitoring: Real-time location and completion data had to be tracked accurately.
-
Notification system: Quick alerts for emergencies were essential.
- Scalability: Needed to work across an entire municipal corporation workforce.
