At PEMM, we like to say that 7Span made all our dreams come true, even those we didn't know we had. I am Professor Wendy Laura Belcher, a scholar of African literature at Princeton University. I am the director of a large digital humanities project on medieval written African stories and paintings. We have a lot of complicated data that we collected over five years in dozens of tables and dozens of fields, hundreds of fields, and it was really difficult for us to find a company that was able and willing to work with us on presenting this really complicated data in an easy to understand way. 7Span listened to what we wanted. They migrated our data. We collected almost 2 million points of data in Google Sheets, and they migrated us to Directus, which is a really wonderful content management system that they understand extremely well. And they programmed an accessible website where it's easy for users to find the information they're looking for and to conduct really rich research. Other software companies had told us that what we wanted was impossible, or they told us that it was possible, but we would have to pay $100,000 to do it.
